Leah Ashby, Program Developer

Passionate, creative, and endlessly inspired, I am a devoted music and arts educator who believes in the transformative power of self-expression. With a deep love for both melody and visual storytelling, I strive to ignite creativity and confidence in every student I teach. Whether blending vivid brushstrokes on canvas or building harmonies through soulful tunes, my goal is to nurture each individual's unique voice and empower them to explore their potential fearlessly. Guided by enthusiasm and authenticity, I create safe, collaborative spaces where students can grow, experiment, and fall in love with the magic of the arts. Through the years as an arts educator I have taken my love of the arts and learned and continued to study the vast importance of encouraging the interdisciplinary learning through math, science and my programs are designed to interconnected the arts into the real world applications of youth education programs. Steam develops relevance to read and learn text and make real life connections, promoting hands on learning abilities and creative problem solving skills, I believe develop a child to reach their full potential, engaging in working as a team and learning through trial and error processes develops a children's skills to manage real world anxieties and develop empathy and the ability to work with others and put themselves in someone else's  shoes.
